The breath is the most powerful and transformative tool that we as human beings have access to at any time, any place. Its potential is limitless, and yet, it is possibly the most underutilised method of regulation that is available to us. Given that we have such a potent resource at our very fingertips, wouldn’t it be helpful to understand its functions, processes and nuances?

​The breath is inextricably linked to every process in our body, our minds and our emotions. Its instantaneous effect on the nervous system means that it plays a huge role in the regulation and harmony of our inner world. Knowing how to manipulate the breath and the energy that the breath carries, offers us huge capacity for deep healing and personal growth.

THE COURSE

Through the lens of Yoga, Ayurveda and modern science, this course takes a deep dive into the ancient practices of Pranayama, to awaken the potential of your breath; Asana, to support your practice; and Science to expand the depth of your knowledge. We will also explore Yogic Philosophy that ultimately helps you to further embody both ancient and modern wisdom.
At the very essence of these time-tested practices, there is an understanding that our breath carries so much more than just O2 and CO2. It’s the very source of our life force that rides the flow of every single breath we take, acting as a bridge between our inner and outer worlds and holding one very potent key to re-accessing our truth. This course is designed to help you cultivate a practice that both nourishes you and helps you to develop agency over, and relationship to, your breath.
Across the weeks you’ll learn techniques and theory that will help you to alchemise restlessness, stress and/or lethargy back towards steadiness, balance/ harmony and a feeling of vital ease. Explore the foundations of breathing and learn some of the essential pieces of the puzzle that will help to create a baseline of safely to powerfully continue exploring what’s possible via the breath, and via the practices of pranayama.
